Is Net Worth Solutions a broker/dealer?
No. We are a Registered Investment Advisor firm. We manage client portfolios using Professionally Managed Accounts, certain mutual funds and certain iShares ETFs. Our advisory firm is independent from any broker/dealer.

How does Net Worth Solutions differ from large investment firms, such as Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley and UBS Paine Webber? We do not earn any commissions for the purchase or sale of any investment products. We also only focus on managing investment portfolios for a fee – all other financial services and products are outsourced. We do so in order to reduce any potential conflicts of interest on the part of our advisors. Our advisors only earn an appropriate, ongoing fee for the management of client portfolios.

What fees does Net Worth Solutions charge for portfolio service and advice? Our fees range from 1.25% to .50% per annum and are based upon the size and complexity of your assets that are managed by us.

Does Net Worth Solutions directly manage stocks and bonds for client portfolios? No, not directly. If your portfolio is managed by a professional money manager through FolioNet, your selected money manager(s) will manage the portfolio of stocks and/or bonds on your behalf.

What fees are charged by the Professionally Managed Accounts available through FolioNet? Equity portfolios start at 1.00% and drop as client portfolios reach certain breakpoints. Fixed income portfolios start at .70% and drop as certain breakpoints are met. Each portfolio has a minimum annual fee of $1,200 per account. These fees are separate from the Net Worth Solutions management fee.

What are the portfolio minimums for the Professionally Managed Accounts available through FolioNet? Most portfolios have a minimum size of $100,000. Certain fixed income portfolios have a higher minimum of $250,000. Please visit our FolioNet center to learn more.

Do you only provide Professionally Managed Accounts for the management of client portfolios? No. We are able to provide ourclients certain prescreened mutual funds and iShares exchange traded funds (index ETFs) for those seeking lower investment minimums. While we do not have a statedportfolio minimum, we recommend a minimum of $10,000 per account if you choose to have your portfolio managed using mutual funds and/or ETFs.

Do I have the ability to choose which Professionally Managed Accounts, mutual funds or iShares ETFs I want in my portfolio? Yes – as long as the given money manager, mutual fund or ETF fits within the recommended asset categories and allocation for your portfolio. We ask that you peruse the FolioNet section of our site to get to know the investment options available and consult with your advisor on any preferences you may have.

Am I able to view my account(s) online? Yes. Our selected broker/dealer, TD Waterhouse Institutional, provides online account services.

Is there any affiliation between Net Worth Solutions and TD Waterhouse? No. Net Worth Solutions has selected TD Waterhouse as its primary broker/dealer and custodian based upon their combination of pricing, technology and service. There is no endorsement or affiliation between our respective entities other than TD Waterhouse’s brokerage and custodial services provided to us and our clients.

Does Net Worth Solutions provide financial services other than fee-based portfolio management? No, managing investment portfolios is our focus and our specialty. However, we have conveniently provided links to other financial services entities who we feel can best take care of your banking, lending, insurance and real estate needs. In our opinion, these are financial entities who take advantage of the economies of scale provided by the internet to allow for higher quality products and services in their respective industries.
